Why We Started Nimelle

I've spent years in the chair with patients — not just fixing problems, but watching the same pattern play out again and again. People know they should floss. They just don't. Not because they don't care, but because the tools make it a chore: string that shreds and cuts, picks that snap, water flossers too bulky to leave out on a bathroom counter.

I kept recommending the same fixes, and I kept watching them not stick. So I started looking for a solution— a flosser gentle enough that people would actually reach for it every day, designed around real oral health science instead of guesswork.

That project became Nimelle.  Make the one habit that protects your teeth and gums the easiest part of your routine, not the part you skip.

I'm still a practicing dentist. Every decision Nimelle makes gets run through the same question I ask in the chair: does this actually help, or does it just look good on a shelf?
